  1. Hi again Euan, Do you want me to check on an approx postage cost? Ian
  2. Hi Euan, thanks for getting in touch. Yes I could post but the cost is likely to represent a big chunk of the value.
  3. Original Subaru Dog Guard for sale - original model 2012-17. Blairgowrie, Perthshire. £25
  4. Turned out to be an issue with the bonnet detector switch, the guy replacing the screen had accidentally knocked it slightly. Security system detected open bonnet and wouldn't arm. Easy fix once problem identified by a computer check.
  5. My 2016 XV has just had a cracked windscreen replaced by Autoglass. The car alarm will no longer arm - it goes into alarm mode. The guy that did the replacement was very concerned and even went to the trouble of removing the scuttle to show me all the wiring - all looked fine with no obvious damage. I can now only key lock the car. Have booked into local Subaru agent and hope to have fault sorted, Autoglass are waiting for the result of what might be found. I have heard that the alarm system might just need re-setting via the under dash key pad - any body else has same issue and know how to fix?
  6. I bought and fitted the Subaru unit, my Subaru dealer gave me a discount and whilst it is still an expensive one it is excellent. The centre seat belt requires access through the guard, I would guess that some third party guards would struggle with this? Aberdeen Chris - if you haven't already fitted it don't worry. It comes with clear instructions and when fitted is very robust - it would stop any items from shooting forward in the event of an accident too - including a dog!
  7. Must have been lucky here, was given a second hand full size wheel + new tyre by my dealer when purchasing my new XV in March. Not really practical so after some arm twisting the dealer gave me a new spacesaver wheel, it is slightly too deep for the silly well but with a bit of padding under the boot liner its hardly noticeable. I agree with other comments that for a 4x4 to have a gunk kit only is not acceptable. Come on Subaru, it's a great car and deserves a skinny spare as standard.
  8. After researching what was available I bought and installed a set of ClimAir deflectors. These are not the cheapest but are very well made and easy to fit - excellent finish. Made in Germany, manufacturer is an oem supplier to the likes of Mercedes. Bought them to allow good air cirulation for dog when parked (cool conditions) - weather proof. I suppose it was inevitable that they do add somewhat to wind noise when cruising motorways etc but very pleased with purchase. http://www.climairuk.com/
  9. Thanks Dogconker. I'll check it out, more than I wanted to pay but if quality is good then could be interested.
  10. Thanks Rizmo - I'll take a look in Halfords. If it works for your lab it should for ours too!
  11. Thinking of buying a standard Subaru dog guard for my XV, e-bay seem to have best price but still v expensive. Are these easily fitted, I note form the Subaru site that their extortionate price of GBP240 includes fitting and wondered if any mods to the car were necessary?
  12. Hi all, new to site and a very new owner - 16 plate XV 2.0D
