I got it out. Undid the heat shield on one side. With a little wiggle our it popped. Thank God it didn't go into the engine x

Managed to drop a 10ml socket down the front of the engine and I can't blooming see it. You can imagine my response to doing it. So now need to buy a camera thingy to look for it. Bugger

I had one of those given to me last year. He now sits on the back parcel shelf. Funnily enough the chocolate didn't last long lol x

Oh dear I tried to spruce up my alloys and lacquer them however they wouldn't clean up nicely. On the upside tho a man down the road was selling his 17s so I now have those hehe

After spraying my small front grilles green yesterday. I got round to de-orange the front with new clear indicators and repeaters. I'm chuffed with the look. I know it was only a small change but it's much better.

Rubbing down and priming these tonight ready to paint green tomorrow 😆

They were brilliant. Had everything I need and we're very helpful. Got a cuppa out of them to. I did get some shocked looks by the men shopping in there when I tottered in in my high heels. It was almost a ooooo a woman in a man's shop look. The bloke behind the counter knew me and chuckled.

Bought some clear side repeaters and indicator lenses. Then popped out for a little drive to a local car paint shop to get bits to de-orange the car, spruce up the alloys and clean the engine bay and pipes

Me and the old man plan on taking our cars for the weekend. We're hoping soc were having a stand so we could join in. Not booked tickets yet. But definitely going one way or another. I am a member of an all girls group who have a stand. The old man will have to tuck his old man in if we go with them lol. Will pop over and see you tho.

Fitted my dump valve myself. Only a little job I know but feeling proud I could do it. This is a result for me as ive never really been near a car engine before other than checking fluids and oil levels lol. Went for a little drive to my drug (subie parts) dealer who fitted a new fuel pump for me, as the stock one was struggling to keep up with the change in exhaust causing the car to backfire and stall. Had an extended drive home giving it a little welly. And have to say problem solved so far. Also eyed up (reserved) larger spoiler with larger front vent, 17" black alloys ready for next year 😆😆😆.

Jumped out bed ran down the stairs to rugby tackle the postie who dropped off new toy for the car. Somewhere along the route I managed to grab a towel to cover what's left of my dignity lol. Felt like a kid at Xmas opening it 😆

Well I've had a mare of a week. My beasty failed it's mot and needed the offside front outrigger welding. Mate welded it for me as he does welding for a job. Went for the retest today and it failed again, the chap said it needs a complete plate not separate bits. So my question is can I buy these? The car is a 2000 wrx x

Bugger it failed but only on a small hole that needs welding so it's not too bad. But on the upside the exhaust sounds amazing. I grinned like a demented Cheshire cat all the way home on the back roads. The neighbours are really going to hate me now lol. Now to get Xmas out of the way and start giving the suspension a little updating. 😆

It will pass the emissions 😉 it's if it passes on other stuff. Had all the sills welded that was the main concern.

Off to get my decat exhaust put on and have the old girls mot done. Fingers crossed she passes as I may have a melt down I'd she doesn't.

Been an eventful weekend. The boys welded my nearside sills today and part of the boot for the mot next month. And hopefully having my stainless steel decat exhaust fitted this week as original one has a hole in the centre pipe. Hoping it will pass the mot with no issues.

I've had an issue with my sigma alarm fob not working due to signal block from local radio towers. This means I have to sometimes use the pad. So unlock the car with key then pop the code into the keypad then start the car. You have the usual 30 second time before you have to go through the whole thing again. Oh and my drivers door does not open with the key so I have to use the passenger door which isn't so blooming funny when it's raining lol

Took the car to flitspeed racing today for them to fit the mid section exhaust on my car. Unfortunately due to the previous owners bodge job it couldn't be done today. On the bright side they said they have a 3 inch stainless steel decat exhaust they can supply and fit for me. Just need to wait for the back box to arrive. Which I thought was lovely of them 😆
