What have you done to your Subaru today ?
scoobygirl replied to stants's topic in General Subaru Chat
Had mine up on the ramps to find out where the exhaust was blowing from. Once we found it turned out to be not that bad only a little hole in the mid section. Took car home and washed it ready to hopefully take it to someone in the know to get new bit put in the morning. All ready for the mot in November -
I'm here

I will keep a look out then. Glad it's gonna be a nice day, I'm looking forward to it. I've been out today giving my old girl a good clean for the day out playing

I'm not on a stand mate. Wasn't that brave this time as I've only had my scooby a few months. Been worried it wouldn't be good enough for a stand. Maybe next year.

Drove across Cambridgeshire to see my sister, with the windows down enjoying the sunshine and noise of the car. Even better drive when I peeved off a Mercedes 4x4 driver who shot up my rear in a 30 zone, once I was out in the open road I left him standing. This went on for 10 miles, thought he would have given up and got the message lol. I did have a smile on my face hehe. And I didn't speed once 😉😁 -
Thank you for the help, I'm still undecided. I like the noise mine makes but have had some blank spots in the turbo and wondered if changing the dump valve back would fix it. I also don't know if it was remapped when it was changed over in the first place. Worried I may cause more problems changing it back. I'm having a do I or don't I moment. x

I decided to give mine a clean after the birds had used it for practicing bombing missions and I took it out for a little blast yesterday. I'm meant to be resting while signed off work, I thinks cleaning still counts as resting lol. Also changed the brake bulbs for the first time, turns out it's east peasy. !Removed! typical though its just started raining hmmmmm -
Hey lovelies, I have a question that I'm sure you can help me with. I currently have an aftermarket dump valve on my scooby and thinking if changing it back to a recirculating one. What are the pros and cons to this and is it worth doing. Here's a pic of what is on there now. Thank you for any help xx

Wanted to come to the one at Silverstone but events here stopped me, so I have checked my work rota and woo hoo I'm off for this one and it's my sons birthday weekend. I will if it !Removed! kills me make one of the Japfests this year.

Hi lovelies, I'm having a blonde moment and having an issue with a worn header tank cap, problems sourcing a new one. my car is a classic 2000 2.0l turbo. I bought one online but its too big. Any ideas where I can get one. I just need the cap not the whole tank. its the coolant cap on the left of my engine I'm on about if that helps. Cheers for any help in advance x

My baby has been naughty while in for her service
scoobygirl replied to scoobygirl's topic in General Subaru Chat
She is home and running so much better. I've been told she will need the aircon looking at at some point and undersealed for the winter. Shame I've had to go to work tonite, would have loved to go a little drive out. -

Sadly no , hopefully I can pick her up in the morning. She has had a full service and check over and so far nothing major found. but driving the other halfs car is just not the same. but at least its nearly done and will only need a small service next year. -
OK I'm feeling lost, I took my impreza in for a service yesterday for the first time since buying her. Turns out she has been causing the garage trouble. They tried to service the brake system and she wouldn't give them her shoes so she had to stay over night. They managed to do them and they are fine.Just got a call from them saying it's taken 4 hours to get the radiator off to do the belts. I've heard they can be temperamental cars but she is being a ****** lol. Glad it's not me or the other half doing the work. And it looks like I won't get her home until the morning, I've resorted to driving the family car boo hiss hehe

I had issues on a previous car running their normal unleaded. It ran like crap another friend also had the same issue. Never used their momentum stuff to be honest, once bitten twice shy for me. I know thousands of people probably use it every day with issues, I most likely got unlucky. I'm lucky to live where I there are several garages to choose from nearby

I use super unleaded in mine. And never the tesco stuff unless I really have to

Took mine to the garage this morning for its first service since I bought it last month. Phoned them at 5pm to see how it was going. Seems she has been a naughty girl and wouldn't take her shoes off easily. I wont get her back until tomorrow. This means I will have to use the other halfs motor to get to work in the morning :-(. oh well guess I will just have to make my own psssst noise when I change gear lol -
Favourite thing about driving a scooby??
scoobygirl replied to JoshKB's topic in General Subaru Chat
I love all of the above things people have already said, the noise, the pull of the car, the fact I feel safe chucking it about, the little waves we do (which took a couple of times to realise why I was being waved at lol). But at the weekend I had a little car envy incident that just made me and my other half laugh at. A bloke tired to push me out of the way in the outside lane of the motorway and tried to undertake me. He looked in my car throwing evils and sucking his teeth (which made him look like some demented person), so my next move was to drop a gear and leave him standing hehe. He tried to keep up bless him, he didnt know that I actually am trained to drive at high speeds with extra driving skills. That was my fav thing this weekend, still smiling at the look on his face and hearing my other half looking at me and saying show him baby hehehe. x -
Thank you for the lovely welcome everyone. The sticker was more of a fun thing really, I've getting a lot of second shocked looks once people realise a woman is driving the car while her fella is in the passenger seat. I just smile and give a wink now hehe x So far so good with it the only big fault I had was a petrol leak which is all fixed. Just waiting to swap my plates over and then getting her serviced this month. Then a little tidying up over time. x

Drove all the way from Cambridgeshire to Kent to see the olds for the day. Had a little fun with a fellow Impreza owner on the M11 near Cambridge. Made the trip more fun. If your on here buddy thanks for making me smile even more. The old girl behaved and we have made it there and back with no incident and a tank of fuel down lol. She needs a wash now though :-( -
I'm going, for once I have the weekend off to play. Looking forward to a day out with some friends. Hopefully with a little scooby convoy along the way . Hope the sun comes out to play.

Hi you lovely people, new to this page so here is a little about me. I've recently bought my first ever scooby, bagged myself a UK2000 that I have to say brings a smile to my face every time I get in it. Don't imagine I could ever own a different car now. Its mostly standard apart from gauges and a different dump valve, which I probably with change back soon. Looking forward to popping down to the car shows this year. I happen to live close to where the national mods are shown in May, a day out has already been planned lol. Have fun over the weekend, I'm going on a little 200 mile drive during mine :-) xx
