Passed a new shape STI around lunchtime, heading out of Leek. (Sun 22nd Jan) Got to admit, that car looks damn good from the front. 😊 It's only when you see them drive by that you realise just how mean they look. 😈 If it was you, what do you think of her? As good as you'd hoped?

4 months? 😨 OK, I'll be honest, I've not read the manual thru, but is 4 monthly required? Never changed mine in any of my Scoobs, (GX, WRX, STI) other than at service times, I've only ever topped up. Am I missing something? 😑

'14 STI Second year service done at my regular garage. Total, Quartz, 5w30s fully synthetic.

Do the winter tyres make that much of a difference? 10 years of Scoobys and never had winters on. (GX, WRX, STI) Drove to work in the snow, drove home... missing the snow.

Washed her, checked her over, filled her with Shells finest... Then drove her 560 miles to Bernkastel-Kues on the Mosel River. My baby purrs at 145... and it was raining... I'll try harder on the way back.😈

Filled her up with Shells finest. 😊 The news on the motorway sound of my muffler delete is surprisingly good, hardly any drone at all, when cruising (70-90) and feathering the throttle she sounds stock, still roars like a tyrannosaurus when poked tho! Low down acceleration, (wot) loud and growly but not obnoxious, even my better half says it sounds good when I leave for work.

Drove to work, quietly. Drove to the garage quietly. Drove home with a tyrannosaurus in the boot! 😊 (Stainless axle back, muffler delete) There's absolutely no doubt it's a Scooby now. Rumbles at tick, roars like a thing possessed at wot. I'll let you know how it sounds at cruising speed later, off to Welshland tomorrow night, so will have a chance to test thoroughly.

Thanks for that Cosmicalien, I'm in Staffordshire, definitely gonna have it done Thurs, as you said I can always add a couple of small mufflers if it's too obnoxious. Although, as it's been pointed out... mufflers are for grannies! I'll post pics when it's done.

Thanks for the welcome, I'll make sure to take some pics while the exhaust's being done, tell him it's for you guys and see how he handles the pressure! 😊 Stainless axle back, quad 3" staggered tips, he quoted around £200. Didn't think that was too bad. Not sure how that'll compare to a cat back, or even turbo back. I'll ask and see. Was gonna go 3.5" tips, but went stock so it'll look the same but sound like a !Removed!... 😈

Hi there, been reading for years, thought I'd finally join and contribute with my very limited knowledge. 😊 I'm currently on my 3rd Scooby, my last 3 cars have been... '04 GX Wagon, stock with stainless back box. '09 WRX Hatch, stock with stainless steel back box. '14 STI Saloon, stock with... Yup, getting it done Thurs, going stainless axle back with full muffler delete. Although I'm definitely not a boy racer, and never have been, (didn't have a car licence till I was 28) I seem to be lookin for the best balance of power, speed, handling, and practicality. So far the STI ticks all the boxes. Finally, I have to say, some of the threads on here are ludicrously funny. 😂 Pixyflash

Hi Guys/Gals, First post so go easy, please. I'm on my 3rd Scooby, '04 GX Wagon, '09 WRX Hatch and now '14 STI Saloon. I'm going axleback muffler delete on Thurs and was wondering if you'd experienced any motorway drone? Cosmicalien, did you get any vids of your delete? I know there's tons on YT but nearly all are bolt-ons and I know a custom will sound different. I've almost convinced my better half that it won't make her ears bleed, and a vid to prove it would help 😊 Thanks
