  1. Had the alarm fitted today. While he was in the car, the guy installing it found this under the rear seat
  2. Welcome along 👍. I'm new here too, seems like a good forum so far! Looking forward to seeing some pics of the car :).
  3. I clicked on this thinking "ooh, I wonder what de-railing" is , then realised what you meant. Looks lovely that .
  4. Just in case anyone else ever wonders this, there is no sidelight warning lamp on the dash cluster. I had the cluster out to replace a blown temp display bulb and while I was at it, I split the cluster and checked the black backing for signs of a warning light, but it doesn't have one.
  5. Well, went for a drive this evening and noticed that my external temp display doesn't light up , so looks like I'll be taking the cluster out after all. Luckily I've accumulated plenty of dash bulbs over the years so that should be any easy enough fix. While it's out I'll see if I can see anything about the sidelights on the cluster 👍.
  6. Thanks Savage, I'd say that confirms it. Mine are the same clocks as yours, just without the STi logo 👍.
  7. Hi all, Quick question for you - I've noticed that there is no side/headlight warning lamp on the instrument cluster of my 02 WRX, is this right? All the cars I've ever owned have had a little green light to tell you the side/headlights are on. It's not a big issue as I can simply look at the stalk if I want to check, but I thought I'd ask before taking the cluster out to check for a bad bulb. I've noticed there seems to be a few variations on the instrument clusters, mine has the speedo on the far right with the rev counter in the middle.
  8. To be honest, neither did I . I thought all WRX's etc had manual boxes, so it was a bit of a surprise when I saw this one.
  9. Well, for an auto box from 2002 it's pretty good . It's really smooth as it's going up/down through the gears. If you put it in "Power" mode it can take a second to think about what it wants to do, then it kicks down pretty hard and propels you towards the horizon pretty damn quickly. It's the 4EAT so feels almost go-kart like if you're accelerating hard. If you knock the stick over to shift manually it'll change gear pretty much instantly. I don't doubt it's no way near as fun as a manual on the twisties, but for sheer straight line acceleration it'll not fail to make you grin :D.
  10. So, thought I post a few piccies of my new (to me) WRX. It's a 2002 JDM Bugeye SportShift (which I was sceptical about at first, but I really like driving tbh). It's got a few nice bits and bobs on it, so I plan to just enjoy it as-is for the time being (although I've ordered a front lip today).
  11. De-tangoed the side. Much better I think :)
  12. Nothing as exciting as some of the stuff on here . Fitted some mist washer jets and received my member pack in the post 👍. Pressure from the jets now seems a bit low, so that'll be something to figure out at the weekend.
  13. Thanks guys :). Yeah, it's an auto with the gear change buttons on the steering wheel. You can also knock the stick over to the left and change up/down manually too if the buttons aren't your thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's anywhere near as quick as a manual car but once you get going it's like a 2.0 turbo go-kart .
  14. Hi all! Thought I'd swing by here as I've just bought my second Subaru (first Impreza though). It's a 2002 NB-R (anyone know much about them? Can't seem to find very much online). I picked it up last week and I really love it already. It's a SportShift model (I know, slushbox lol) but I really like the way it drives. It's got a few nice bits on it too, Cusco bracing everywhere, stainless EL headers and a stainless turbo back system - I keep finding new stuff! Here's a couple of pics: Fear not, the STi boot badge is now gone! I quite like the ones on the fog covers though...... I used to have a Legacy which I regretted selling as soon as it was driven away. In between the Subaru's I had an FN2 Type-R which was fun but the Subaru bug never went away. Here's my Leggy, taken around the time it was sold: Before that I had a Silvia (actually, it was my fourth one, but I don't have any pics of the others): Anyway, I'm off to check out the rest of the forums, nice to meet you all lol.
