Front Towbar

Hi Guys and Gals. Glad to be on board👍. I do like a bit of Sea fishing, and use a 2010 forester 2.0L petrol manual, for all my launching. Its fantastic for my job, BUT! i would like to make it a touch more easy, by putting a Front Towball on it!. Has anyone done this here, and is there ways around loosing the front bumper/skirt?. Any help as to what this is? "tiny red light behind needle in the centre of speedo dial"
I have a 2-litre diesel 2013
The light comes on at around 40 km/h and then goes off as the speed passes that point.
No other warnings or alerts come on

2013 XV Diesel battery going flat.

The RAC started it and tested it. They told me the interior light had been on! I found this to be unlikely...until, on getting out of the car a day or two later, I hit the switch picking my bag up off the passenger seat. So, conclusion... I'd left the interior light on!

Towing

a lot of the time heating up of the transmission is being in wrong gear. Never let a car get in to 6th gear overdrive, will heat up the transmission. I always tow in 3/4 depending on how many gears in the autobox. So if it was a 6 speed then I would be running in 4th. Dont let it run in Overdrive. 5/6. Yes spunks the fuel but rather it do that than burn out the transmission.
Do a youtube search on this. The ozzies have a few vids on this. They proved it by show temperatures at both 4 and 6th
Drive in S mode on my Toyota Tow car.
