  1. Hi guys I’ve done my usual searches and I’m hitting a brick wall. I’ve a 2004 Legacy gt twin scroll which has 316mm discs with 2 pot callipers on the front. I’ve found spec b 3.0 callipers online and I was wondering does anyone know if they are definitely compatible. The seller says they are the same and he seems like a really good guy but it’d be great if anyone could confirm. Thanks as always
  2. Hiya mine are 2 pot with the pistons on the same side. I know my fronts are 316mm as I've changed them but I was hoping someone had a definite spec. I've found a page elsewhere that looks like their right with their figures but just wanted to confirm.
  3. Think these are the same company. I was hoping for something like the first pair on this page. Grooved and coated with pads included. Any chance these would suit? https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/subaru/legacy/2.0-(BP5)-2003-2010/49502
  4. Hey bud good chance info is the same but mines not the gt-b it's the 04 new shape GT wagon. Very hard to get definitive info on this generation ☹️ Mine didnt get the brembo pack pack but I know my front discs are 316mm.
  5. I had a similar issue with a legacy 2.0r 2007. I reset the ecu doing the 40 mins of turning on and off the engine in certain sequence definitely helped. For the sake of 40 mins and no cost it's worth a shot. How to is on you tube.
  6. I've had discounts from national and international that worked in IRL so probably should. They do make a drama about it when you try to use them but it's a fear of their !Removed!!!
  7. Hi guys hope you are all well. I've searched online and the forum but can't find the info I'm looking for so hopefully you guys might know. My car is the following: 2004 Jdm legacy gt wagon, bp5 ej20x 2l twin scroll I normally get my discs and pads from import car parts and the guys there are great but I'm looking for a disc that won't rust so bad. Ideally I want some EBCs but the guys that sell the ebc just have info on the GT. So my question is does anyone know the the brake spec (diameter, thickness etc) front and back for the above car? thanks
  8. Hey Scoobyghost, you are echoing my inner thoughts. I have an excellent history since 08 as the previous owner did all his work in a main dealer (his poor wallet) but the history before import is all in Japanese!! I've read it's 105k for the 2.5l so I'm sure it'd be no harm to do it early especially as the kit is cheap. As for the water pump I agree. Every time I did a TB in an mx5 I always did the water pump I just wasn't sure if the GT was the same. Thanks for the input.
  9. Hi guys, ive been searching this forum and others to no joy. I've a 2004 JDM Legacy GT 2.0 with 90,000 miles. I can't find any history of a timing belt done in the records. Does anyone know the belt intervals on the 2L turbo? Also do people mostly change the water pump at the same time? Thanks as always.
  10. As usual your a legend. Thanks a mill guys. Now all I need is some time off work to drive her!! By the way, while I have ye. The silver part of the front grill is cheaper badly. Anybody know any tricks or do people just replace the whole unit?
  11. Thought I'd update all you guys as ye were a great help last time. I found my GT..! it took nearly a year but I got an 04 Gt with 89k miles on it. In mint condition inside and out and serviced at main dealers etc. Picked it up for half what they make in the UK so pretty happy. It's only got one issue. A warped front disc I'm having trouble sourcing discs. Can anyone advise where I could by discs for a jap import 04 GT estate. Any help much appreciated.
  12. Haha I probably would enjoy the GT more alright. I've just been watching GT vs 3.0 on YouTube. The acceleration looks unreal on the GT.
  13. I'd actually prefer the 3.0 as it's not got the turbo so one less piece of kit to maintain, also there is ab good version near me for sale. Down side is the crazy road tax. Currently the 2l or 2l turbo are €700 per year to tax, the 3l is €1400 I think. Good old Irish tax system :(
  14. Higher in fuel consumption, is that possible!! The current one is thirsty as it is but it's an automatic and the lag drives me nuts. As for insurance, €8 more per annum, I too was shocked at that but I've a long ncb. I did look at the usual car sites in the UK and the GTs were rare enough. I guess the price is part of it too. I can get a very good in crashed get for 6k dollars delivered to Ireland from Japan. I think most of the GTs I saw in the UK were nearly 10k. It's a lot for a weekend car. I already have a weekend mk1 mx5.
