Hi all, just picked up a 2004 Impreza STi, my fifth Impreza to date. Waited two years for this one due to a company car.

Can anyone tell me if they have ever seen a "hole" in the footwell on the side where the gearbox is located, fitted with a plastic cap/cover? Was it for some form of gearbox locking device??

Also, if anyone has any good ideas for the insurance on this car, renewal due in Feb and will defo need to look around, it would be appreciated!!
