Slow rear windows

Featured Replies

Hi, no doubt this could have been covered before, but I can't seem to find it !

The rear windows on my 59 plate WRX ( hatchback), are really slow going up from fully open, are there any guides as to how to lubricate them, or could anyone advise me please.

Thanks in advance.

Not seen anyone ask about this before nate sorry I can't advice either. If it had been just the one window I'd have set a dodgy motor.

Are they a scissor operated window ?

Only thing to do is take the door card off and try and re grease the runners, the grease goes hard with age and eventually slows everything up

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure of the mechanism yet, I thought I'd see if anyone had experienced it before I start dismantling !

Time to get the tools out then.
