legacydan
So i should probably start a seperate build project thread, I have had my legacy since 2008. imported from Japan through my uncles garage probably one of the early ones to take an interest in these models, I wanted something a bit different than your average impreza, and a bit more subtle 280bhp and 4wd without the large spoiler and gold wheels(:hide behind couch:) and had no intention of modifying it in anyway except a remap to local fuel. As everyone on here knows that doesnt last for long. Engine gave up not long after a good thrash around Mondello, Was loosing oil pressure for some reason: Self re-bore internals So it was a tough call what to do, onwards and upwards i decided to keep her and get it rebuilt a bit stronger: Many different intercoolers have been tried: I have gone from standard twincsroll to TD04HLA-19T to Vf36 to current TD05-20G billet twinscroll. Current spec is as follows with upcoming planned mods Engine:EJ20Y engineKinugawa TD05 20G billet twincsroll with uprated 1.2 bar actuator Kstech 73mm mega maf CAIProcess West TMICGTspec twinscroll headers and uppipeWiseco pistonsEagle rodsACL bearings11mm uprated STI oil pumpGates racing timing belt kitCosworth head gasketsARP head studsNGK H7 plugsMishimoto rad hosesSyms oil filler capSTI rad capPerrin ALternator coverPerrin radiator staysLaile cooling panelPerrin turbo inletGrimmspeed 3 port boost solenoid,ExhaustMilltek de-cat reosnated downpipeMagnaflow 200 cell center sports catFujitsbo Super Legalis R CBESuspensionWhiteline front and rear anti roll bars, Perrin solid endlinks front and rear,Whiteline anti-lift kit,AVO rear anti roll bar reinforcement brackets.Whiteline bump/steer correction kitSTI pinks on bilsteinsBrakingAP racing CP6600 calipers330mm 2 piece grooved discsEBC rear drilled dicsEBC yellowstuff padsHEL braided lines18 x 8 Rota GravelsGoodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2 in 225/40/18InteriorPioneer SPH-DA110,Phormula equipment KS3,Custom air vent digital boost gauge,Innovate Motorsports MTX-D oil pressure/oil temperature gaugeInnovate Motorsports AFR MTX-L gaugeUk Spec B leather interiorCustom trimmed leather steering wheel with red stitching and black Nappa leatherExteriorSti replica front liprear aero spatsSubaru sports mesh grillePlanned/orderedFacelift to 06-08 front endJDM Xenon lights with washer jetsNew front winfsNew JDM gt spec b bumperHoneycombe mesh grilleFog light coversFog light unitsParts needed:STI front lipFacelift rear lightsFacelift rear bumperAdjustable fuel pressure regulatorPower modsRe-map needed Future mods: KW v2 coilovers Full respray Safe to say ill never part with this legacy at this stage!
