Hi guys

has anyone had any experience in swapping a legacy bg5 turbo front end to a bh5 turbo front end? I really want to do it but I'm just wondering how much work is actually involved.

I'm looking to swap side skirts, front bumper, lights, wings, bonnet, bonnet catch and maybe roof bars if I can get them.

cheers

I've not known it done before so I can't says it's possible or not. However, dimensions should be very similar.

The engine bay is different in that on the gen 2, the bulkhead at the back of the engine bay is the bottom of the windscreen. On the gen 3, there is a space under the windscreen behind the bulkhead for things like wiper motor, etc.

Having said that, what you are looking to do, may not be affected by that.

I've had a look at a bh5 and it looks simple. But I know that what looks simple isn't always the case.

May have to try someone for a test fit ha.

Nothing a welder and an angle grinder couldn't sort out

Can't see that part being a problem.

Be a cool thing to see done... If you do it and it works, any chance I could buy your bg headlights? I want to try and de-tango them but I'm too scared to try it in my own ones incase I mess it up!
