Hi Guys,

My forester XT has a subaru cat 1 alarm which after the car is unlocked for 30 seconds activates the immobiliser. I want this 'feature' removed. Can it be done and how? Many thanks.

Don't think so it's an eu requirement for an alarm to immobilise after 30 seconds if it doesn't detect any ignition activity

It cannot be an EU issue, its my choice if i want a cat 1 immobiliser or not ...surely.   Its spoiling my experience with this car.

OK, thanks. Seems I have to live with this crap !  


It's a pain specially when you unlock the car put some stuff in boot then have to press the fob again to start everything up.
