Allienmass Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Hi guys anyone know where the coolant temp sensor is on a 2004 impreza wrx, i thk its under the alternator but theres two under there, is it the sensor facing down to the ground or the sensor facing to the back of the car ?
stants Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Hi mate, not entirely sure as there should be a crank angle sensor under there at 90° to the top of the block, possibly red plug if I remember correctly, can you get a pic up ? I've moved into the engine section should get a better response there [emoji3]
Allienmass Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 Hi stants i jus tried getting a pic, bit to dark under the alternator, il get a torch later :)
Allienmass Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Hi stants i got a pic but cant figure out how put it on here haha
Allienmass Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 There's sensor above and below a hose i thk its the one above ? If u can see in the pic lol
stants Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I can see it [emoji51] i'd hazard a guess ti sat it's the one going directly down but I'll have a further dig around
Allienmass Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Thats what i thought until i seen that pic, i know thats for a forester but it look similar ?
Allienmass Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 I thk the coolant sensor goes into the cross over pipe which the top one does look as if it does ?
stants Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I forgot about oil temp sensor so the oil temp straight into block downwards, crank sensor goes right side of pic an the water should be the one that's facing away in your pic towards the rear of the car
Allienmass Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 Yeah i think so :) god i hope it fixes this prob, so weird how my heater fan control makes the temp gauge on dash drop lol i dont like it :/
