avinxj Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 The immobiliser fob on my 2002 outback has stopped working, it is not the batteries as they are new and have been checked on a Battery tester, I can override the immobiliser by using the keypad but this is a bit of a faf everytime I want to start the car, a local used subaru specialist seemed to think that the memory between the fob and the actual immobiliser has been lost, does this sound likely or is there likely to be another cause ?. Has anyone on the forum had this problem as other forums seems to point to this being a fairly common problem, any advice would be gratefully received.
avinxj Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Does recoding have to be done at a subaru dealer or could somewhere like timpsons do this ?.
