Hi all,

has anyone found a good contact for replacement twin pot tokico brake calipers ?  I'm trying to replace the front ones off my 2005 XT but have been sent the wrong ones which have a larger span between the piston across the gap to the housing.  The ones I have seen and been sent are all 74mm across the gap whereas mine measures 68mm.

Any help much appreciated

is it the standard Subaru one. I just put a impreza one on with different code but the same. if they fit the cradle holes it won't mater the size. like the 4 pot from Scooby their a bigger system so you change cradle and then need wheels too as they don't fit over them. also you may need to change pad and disc with it if much bigger. hope this helps.

thanks for the info ,

I've recently replaced the front discs so I'm trying to avoid anything that means changing them.

Is there an issue with the calipers or do you just want more stopping power?

I know from experience that the EBC greenstuff pads are very good, and I have heard good reports on black Diamond predator pads

I think you will need to send them back if they don't fit the carrier. two pot are the same size across models I think. the impreza sport one pot are smaller and the 4 pots are bigger and both different sizes need different discs and pads and carriers. like I said I stuck a impreza one on my forester but though there different makers codes they fit and work.   ;)

Miggs, yes the calipers are sticking, I have bought a piston kit in the pas which worked for a while but I think I damaged the rubber boot when fitting the one side and that's the one that's is sticking.

I have found in the past before them kits are good for a temp fix but always happens again :( I've not long ago had a full battle with 1 of mine :(

No worries, sorry I can't help further
