Schematics for the Legacy ICE system - Kenwood 6 CD changer

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I have a Legacy 2.0R Sportwagon 2007 model. It has the factory fitted in car entertainment system manufactured by an OEM on license from Kenwood specifically for Subaru. This much I have managed to discover. Kenwood are useless in assisting, full of excuses, which is not cool.

I'm happy with the unit, it's features and operation (so don't want to replace it). It carries the Kenwood badge on the back - model no: gx204khf2

I would love to get my paws on the schematic for this unit, and see if I can enable the AUX IN input so I can attach my mp3 player to it. And perhaps put a Subwoofer onto it too. Even steering wheel controls. Who knows what else might be possible.

I have removed the unit and taken it out. The pics are here: https://www.facebook...75697386&type=1

I know from experience that the additional 20-pin molex allows most of what I want to do, maybe more. But without the schematics I run the possibility of frying the unit and kicking myself for a month or two. And I have had enough dumbass moments like that to know it's never fun.

So, if you can assist with wiring configurations and pin-outs, it would be much appreciated. Al. :-)

Hi Steve

Thanks for the info. Not sure if I can decipher that though. It is the same doc as my link above. Gonna have a look at it a bit later.

Would be great if I can get someone who can say Pin 1 is power, Pin2 is earth, etc

We keep on trying though. B)

Hi, The white Aux plug on mine has three wires coming from it.  It doesn't look like they are in positions 1,2,3 though.  If you take the white aux plug out of the radio, it operates normally, so the three wires could be the Audio in for the AUX.

Just wondering how you got on.
