Hi there. I have a 2003 blobeye wrx. So I decided to change the cabin filter this weekend.. Removed the glove box all ok but then came across something I had not seen in any videos. It's a metal square box that actually covers the filer access. Does anyone have any ideas what it is.

What alarm is on the car ? Can you post a pic up

It's a cat1, with motion sensors etc. was wondering if that's what it could have been

Hmm not sure then mate, could be but seems a daft place to factory fit an alarm?

Any wires around it or visible signs of part number

Yeah tried all ways. If you force it in it buckles and then won't sit right when you put the intercooler back in. While you're in. I have been offered a type r, 86000 described as mint. My WRX plus 1000. Sound worth it

even if the type R is in average condition it will be worth more than a WRX, deffo worth considering. It will be a harder, more raw ride and more focused drive. Not sure if they make good daily drivers though
