Getting a screeching noise when reversing. Had new discs and pads on the rear so its not them. Had the car serviced recently and said the front discs and pads were fine. Any ideas?  

Is it from the front of the car ? 

I would maybe go with the power steering belt if it is :) 

Had the belts done at the service :/

Just in reverse?

Where is the noise from roughly, front, middle or back?

Have the brakes bedded in? How many miles have you done since they were fitted?

When was the rear different last serviced?

did they change the handbrake shoes in the rear drum or just the pads on the disc?

Like miggs said.it Could be pads, mine we recently changed and their still not fully bedded in
