Hi guys I've had my scooby for a good six month now and I love it,I've put most things rite that needed doing. The one thing I'm struggling with is the strong smell of fuel when I start the car this also continues for a good 5 mins then disappears.ive checked all fuel lines and there fine,am I missing something?

Thanks in advance. BART

Could be a split on the tank gasket seal, under the o/s passenger seat back there's an inspection hatch also allows access to the fuel pump, good chance that it may have been split or nipped up when the hatch was put on or pump changed, is there any history of this being done ?

It's had a walbro pump fitted in March this year. I'll have a look.

New gaskets are easier to get from subaru US than here cheaper and quicker, have a search on the bay I got one for under 20 quid shipped arrived within 10 day's much better than 25 quid with 4-6 weeks wait [emoji35]

Dunno if you've done one before but the nuts don't need much to be tight and people have snapped the posts that the nuts screw down onto.
