Hi guys just had a look under my 2001 wrx and there's a hole in the subframe. Has anyone got a replacement?

Can I just weld it up?

Are there any aftermarket ones I could use.

Best bet is trying one of the many breakers, mb developments or grade a subaru spares are Brett good

Somone should start manufacturing replacment parts out of something that doesn't rust !

I'm sure I've said before you can get a tubular replacement. Not cheap but looks bling, and if someone went into manufacturing these they'd probably do ok as its common on bugs and blobs now! Saw a wrx mot failure with low mileage the other month for 1k with this listed as the fail...

I've been told to just take it off.

This sounds dodgy to me but they said some models don't even have one on.

I've heard lightweight jap spec ones don't have a brace fitted

I got a replacement for my blob from Subaru last year...could try them...perhaps a blob would fit???

How much was the replacement?
