I've got. 51 plate bugeye currently.sat on 186000 ish on the clock with a good service history what I'm wondering is would this engine take 280-300 bhp obviously with tuning if not could I get the go engine and transfer the turbo the inlet and all the other parts on to it.to make it a turbo engine???????

So is it turbo or na? If it's not a turbo you're flogging a dead horse.

If n/a then you wouldn't be able to bolt the turbo up as the compression ratio would be all wrong for a start so you'd either need to pull the engine apart and build from the bottom up,

Fuel pump new air filter and a map should take you close to 270,

Of course depends on how hard a life the engine has had. I know of people with 130k-160k mapped with no problems
