I always say it is best to have your own brand you want to use oil has been on some forums a huge debate and arguments lol. However I have just installed a oil temp gauge and it seems to be burning hot. Scooby1972 Posted January 17, 2016 Share Posted January 17, 2016 The only difference with the 5/40 oil compared to 10/40 is its a bit thinner for cold starts so your engine shouldn't be running any hotter with this in and the 40 is the thickness when hot..has it been changed regularly as oil in a turbo car can break down quicker than normal...?which could explain temp...? what temp was it after a normal slightly spirited drive as we love to do! 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
