sorry 4got 2 say thanks in advance 4 any help or advice given

You'll be looking at anything between 2-4k on an engine rebuild depending on what kind of spec and who's doing the job,

2nd hand engines are always a bit of a risk due to the unknown history of them, I'm using Tapatalk so can't see where you are but there's bound to be specalists not to far away,

cheers for the reply thing is the car is prob only worth 3.5k really dunno what to do

im in northern Ireland m8

Ah ok, yeah it's a dilemma weather to cut your losses or go all out on an engine & drive train built to your own spec.

You could try www.apiimpreza.co.uk for a rough quote, I think they do recon engines, there's also matty at mb developments (breaker) who could source you a decent running replacment

would be a shame to scrap the car as its a great motor spotless to

need to thing long and hard about what to do here totally gutted

If you are on a budget I would get a spare engine from a breaker (2 good ones on Scoobynet), fit it for time being and in the mean time you could open up your broken engine and slowly collect parts and then get it rebuilt.
