PeterT Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Hi I find myself in a place where I can buy me a subaru. A Legacy 3.0 RN spec B auto has caught my eye and would really apreciate some advice about what to look out for. The car is an 03 estate model with166k on the clock, i am used to volvos having high milage without any problems provided they have been cared for. Is the mileage an issue for these models? The advert says they have a comprehensive service history. Any advice and pointers woild be much appreciated. Thanks
stants Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Hello & welcome of the service history is good and the car looks clean then it shouldn't be a problem, rust round the rear arches is common on jap cars and the exhaust y pipe rusts through too Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
quit Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 think its a pretty bullet proof engine, Subaru are massive in OZ and they rack up serious miles (look at the size of the place!), its a lazy engine and in my experience with old V6's they dont get much fuss out of high miles as they run low rpm
PeterT Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 True enough!. Advisory on last mot commented on drop link and front brake pads, mot is due in April. What are they like to work on for these jobs?
quit Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 pretty easy , i only ever had imprezas but never found anything that odd with simple parts like that
