Hi.  Recently purchased a 2002 impreza wrx wagon 2002.  I have a nasty noise coming from gearbox,towards he front when deacellerating, or just lift off throttle and pulling up to lights,roundabouts etc. Anyone got any ideas?  Some one mentioned front output bearing??  



What kind of noise ?Thunk or grind could be a clutch on the way out or spigot bearing seized etc

You sure that from gearbox? Mine does that when I lift off the throttle but it's downpipe knocking badly on something :rolleyes:
