Battery Life

Featured Replies

having a bit of an issue with my new XV 2.0i Premium with regards battery life, unfortunately had to leave car unused for 3 weeks came back to find battery down to 25% charge and unable to start, charged it up enough to start and then had a couple of long runs of 40 and 60 miles this only charged to about 65% would have thought that would have been enough to get a 100% charge, have since fitted a CTEK Battery monitor which showed a 6% drop overnight, is there anything that can be switched off to help extend battery charge, too much electronics on these cars or need a larger capacity battery

Most people run with the side lights on as the alternator is a 'smart' type just helps top the battery up.
do the new cars have eyesight and all the new fancy gubbins ?
