Bouncer Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 On the black expansion tank on the 95 wrx....yes !Removed! black with no markings I can find, good eh!......when topping where do you look so you don't overfill
Gambit Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 If it's the one I think you mean I take it to the cap level replace cap and wipe away any that might be sat on the top :)
Gambit Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Ok mate sounds like best plan :D But please non of you in underwear again I'm still having nightmares :)
Bouncer Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 I just read somewhere (not here) when hot, the water should be at the top just under the lip of the bottle, when cold, doesn't really matter
Scooby Pete Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Your right Bouncer. It's an expansion tank not a header tank so it shouldn't be full of water when cold. Best way to refill is use about 7.5 litres of coolant to refill.
Gambit Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Mines always just been below the cap level and not done any harm on either scoob. And it's 7.7 litre's to be exact we was on about this on another thread ;) lol. But it was warm not hot when I checked so might be a bit lower. You shouldn't open the cap when it's hot ;)
Scooby Pete Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I have tought about getting some of this: http://www.evanscoolants.co.uk/Powersports.html Coolant you dont nned to change also has higher boiling point and a lower freezing temp.
Gambit Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Looks good mate nice find. Now you have given me something else to add to my ever growing list ;)
Bouncer Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Doesnt matter .....h/g's fkd, had it confirmed today
