So I sold my blob WRX and bought a oil burning 64 plate Outback and I love it.

Looking to take it off road more than I do now as my son loves driving it down the muddy lanes round where he lives. Naturally I want to protect my car as much as possible so am looking for advice as to where I can purchase bigger tyres, and which ones, suspension mods, that I don't need to import from the states and whether anyone else has done these forms of modifications to their cars.

Hopefully here is a pic of my car and the sort of lanes I go down atm

i'd try some "all terrain" boots if you're going green-laning...

mud pluggers are likely to be a bit harsh on tarmac.

and prolly worth getting a metal sump guard...
