Subaru legacy 2011 coolant leak

Featured Replies

Hello maybe anyone can share some advice, I just recently a week back bought a legacy 2011 110kw 2.0 petrol. I was driving the car and suddenly the engine overheat light came on & the car engine switch off behind a red light, I got out opened the hood and noticed that on the right side bottom front where the radiator is and the big hose goes to it was leaking.. Is it a expensive repair? I do have warranty for 3 months on the car but thinking of selling it now if it is a serious problem.

Best to take it back to the where you bought it and request they look into repairing this under warranty! Once completed for peace of mind and to cover yourself for any future issues take it to your independent local mechanic for a once over check to ensure that the problem is not connected to anything else.

From a mechanical point of view I wouldn't be able to advise/comment any further but it could be something as simple as a thermosat or something else.
