2008 outback nav/stereo screen.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

just picked up a 2008 outback estate 2.0d REN

it was parked up for about a year without use,so I brought it and after cleaning it all up and a service drives nice.

Only problem is the sat nav/stereo screen keeps saying security in a small box or sometimes is just blank.

The stereos sound is working as I can hear music etc

Ive read on here about taking battery off for an hour and letting it reboot but all that happens is when it comes on it says check ok then goes blank and nothing on screen ?

what else can I try ?

thanks

Sounds like it needs pairing with the car, do-able I think by Subaru dealers. It's probably a replacement set, not the original one.

Welcome anyway.

Thanks for the reply, the owner had it from nearly new,he did say before he parked it up that it was working fine ?

im pretty certain it’s the original equipment to the car.

It just goes blank after the check ok logo ?
