Xvrocks Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Hello, after a good run recently our 2017 xv diesel started billowing white smoke from the exhaust when pulling away at junctions. It does not do this all the time but looks quite alarming. The dpf light is now coming on. Incidentally it did this last year and was fixed by dealer at service with little explanation. Apologies if this has come up in other threads but welcome any advice on this. Should I use a dpf cleaning fuel additive? Any benefits in getting an obd connector/app to check dpf status? Thanks for your help/advice.
Norrie Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 My 2015 often blows white smoke when it's doing its self clean which I believe is normal. You can go to a place that can clean it.
