January 5, 20233 yr Hi everyone, Hoping for some advice, I have a 2008 Subaru impreza (gen3) which has push button start and no physical ignition barrel to take a metal key. All programing instructions I can find online to reprogram (add another one as I only have one which is risky) require turning the ignition on/off with a key in quick succession. I tried with just pushing the button instead of the key method but I couldn't seem to get it into key learning mode. Does anyone know if this can be done myself or does it strictly require a programming tool? There is no key ignition behind the blanking plug Thanks!
