Linx
Sounds like the pump is packing up. How long since the fluid was changed though?
Dornish451
To be honest I have just got the car so i wouldn't no , never come across this before . its like the power steering works from the 10 to 2 o clock position maybe less and the any further is like solid none power steering and a belt squeal noise
Linx
Tighten the belt and change the fluid

Dornish451
fluid flushed and changed , old fluid looked pretty good , belt was already where it needed to be , any tighter would of been to tight . going to try a used pump and if that works i will have my old on reconditioned 🙂 thanks for help
goatboy
Did you get this sorted? Mines notchy too!
Jamie_uk
Mines just started, usually first drive of the day for a few mins. Kicks back in notches like doesn’t want you to turn it fights. Fine once set off driving after getting out your space. First time I thought wheel was against the curb. fluid long over due though is on the list
goatboy
Pretty sure mines the pump, you can see it visibly stalling as you turn the wheels. New one going on hopefully today.
goatboy
Update: changed the pump on mine and it's transformed the car. Steering was really vague and lumpy. All lumpiness now gone, steering much more direct. Easy enough to change too
