I am thinking about changing from an Outback to a Solterra. I am really interested in owner's thoughts and real life experience of the Solterra, ideally including range in colder weather. Many thanks.

apparently Westward there are only 2 of us interested! I wanted to swap range and charging info. If any SolTerra owners read this please respond so we can all help each other

Got one arriving in 3 weeks - will post results - coming from a Kia Soul EV which is very efficient so it will be interesting given that the Battery gross capacities and power outputs are similar

Picked it up today (Touring/Red) and like it - some hill work and max speeds up to 60 and today's consumption was 3.6-3.7 miles/kwh which I am quite happy with given that a lot of that was in normal mode - Battery was full from the dealer showing a max range of 269 miles with the heating set at 18.5 auto eco mode. As a comparison the Kia Soul I have run for the last 2.75 years is doing 4.3-4.4 miles/kwh after 38000 miles.

That is just the sort of information I have been looking for!

I picked mine up in November, was not happy with range at all 180 max reading in miles with 100% charge. Just left it hoping for response.
Today 5th May temperature 19 c, solar panel charge, no cost!

At 100% 201 miles it’s a joke, my wife’s MG4 trophy long range shows 289 miles at 100% smaller Battery, and only with discounts cost just £29,000. I could nearly buy two for the price of the SolTerra .

comments, please, is there an upgrade to the electrics available yet?

Can’t answer your question I’m afraid as I didn’t pursue buying a Solterra. Not because of any issue with car, but rather the difficulties I would have charging at home (following some research the length and routing from my electricity supply to charger was extremely problematic). Is 201 miles your average on full charge?
