September 2, 20241 yr Hi guys, The boot release on my Outback requires you to force the handle towards the front of the car after using it to open the boot, in order for it to stay closed afterwards. I've today flooded the handle with WD40 which has made it slightly looser, but I'm still not observing it actually be pushed back to the "closed" position by the spring. As mine is seemingly particularly corroded/rusted, does anyone have any DIY advice for me to try and get it to work a bit better? I am in the UK and finding a new replacement part is proving to be difficult. Thanks.
