Leaflysock Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hi. I purchased a Forester STi import from a reputable dealer in November last year. (Subaru Forester STi 2.5 SG9 pre facelift lower tax) Had the car inspected and all good. Car was advertised as ULEZ compliant, which I checked as I live in London. Car was shown as compliant on the TFL website. The importer had registered the vehicle in the UK under his company name. After purchasing the car I had it thoroughly gone over and spent quite a bit at Slowboy racing. Since then I've been enjoying it. Car is registered at a property I own which I use as an Airbnb property. When I recently visited the property, I found 9 ULEZ fine notices for the car, with three of them ticking over to a higher amount, so well over £1k. I have appealed the fines but I'm stumped as to how the car was meeting ULEZ rules but is now not, when the vehicle is identical to the condition in which it was first registered. Other Sti's of the exact age and specifications (2005) are coming up as ULEZ compliant. Any help would be very much appreciated. If you need any further info, I'm happy to provide it. Bought the car to use and enjoy as I have a large dog and a disabled relative, having an estate car is therefore absolutely necessary.
