Mickythebricky Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hi I am having a real issue bleeding the brakes on my 1999 Subaru Impreza it’s a uk turbo 2000 I have refurbed all the callipers, fit new rear brake lines, braided hoses all round and new master cylinder but I can’t get the air out of the front lines the rears seem fine no air bubbles but the front keeps pumping air out and the peddle with some resistance goes to the floor, my thinking is it’s pulling air in somewhere and that’s why I changes the master cylinder but still have the same issue. Anyone els had this problem, is there somewhere els it’s likely to be pulling air in.
David Wilkinson Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I know this might be a silly question but are the bleed nipples at the top of the caliper? I had this problem and I made that mistake in a rush.
Mickythebricky Posted Saturday at 07:47 AM Author Posted Saturday at 07:47 AM Hi thanks for responding the bleed nipples are at the top of the rear callipers and the bottom of the fronts. I bled them again yesterday with the sealy pressure bleeding kit but still no joy. when I’m pumping the peddle three to 4 times the peddle goes solid and doesn’t fade but when I release it there’s some pressure release into the master cylinder reservoir and the peddle goes soft again. I have a Video of this but can’t upload on here.
