Not sure if it's been discussed, I'm sure there would be better plans than mine.  his is a 2012 JDM XV, the visor kept falling out of its pivot hinge. 

Easy to see why. So I thought I'd put a belt around it.

A small pipe clamp didnt work, too bulky so it fouls when refitting. 

Small diameter wire doesn't work either, slippery plastic. It comes off.

 

In the end, good old cable tie, bonded on to prevent slipping. Fingers crossed
