going to change oil in gearbox and diff after i come back from holidays after xmas. is it pretty straight forward job? i received 5l of Motul Motyl gear transmission  and diff oil from Opie Oils so will be on the job soon after i get back

Yeah just like an oil change really. I might have a manual some where showing how it's done if you remind me :D

Top tip for changing the diff oil...  Always undo the top plug first.

 

Why?  Well if you undo the bottom one first all the oil will come out.  If you the find the top one is rusted solid and wont move you are left with an empty diff and no way of putting fresh oil in.

 

Sounds obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people fall over on this one!
