I have a impreza 2006, how much can the standard engine endure? Ive have my car on the rolling road and I achieved 331 bhp with a ecuTEK remap, k&n induction kit and a ninja back box. Just out of interest, if I was to bolt on a bigger turbo at what power would I need to think about fitting stronger internals?

I'd say about now. Think the standard internals are good for about 350.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge of engine builds will be able to tell you more

I've heard of people pushing it to 350 360 but I'd always worry about the pistons. So like Stanton500 said I would look at doing them now if you want to be be pushing past the 350 mark and more to the 400+
