servicing advice 2002 wrx

Featured Replies

Afternoon All,

So the weekend i'm going to service my new wrx 2002.

now..ive always serviced my own cars no problem, but the engine looks very cramped.

How easy is it to change the oil, plug and oil fitter. any special tools required, how much oil does it take.

The best oil for the car etcc..

Many thanks all

Oil and filter very easy I could do it at a roadside it's that easy, Where you getting the Oil from  Opioils gives us promotional codes would recommend getting it from there they no there ouil types too.

Plugs on the other hand I hate them, worst place possible to have to try change them :) and I don't even have to remove half the stuff as most people to get to mine :D

what oil do you use in it. I would get it from euro car parts as i get 25% off.

i think ill leave the plugs, they were replaced about 6000 miles a go apparently, i just like to get it done for my own benefit.

the Bugeyes modified I use a different grade oil, but the blobeye I use 5w-40 Fully synthetic be fine for yours.

And I don't blame you with the sparks I dread doing them, i know mine will need doing soon :(

Spark plugs = worst DIY job on the car.

It's not really that hard to do, just extremely tight and awkward. Very easy to put your plug in cross threaded as it's done blind and they sit in a 6inch hole so you can't see what you are doing.
