I know not ideal with having to spend money but think you got a good result and like I said to odessey sell the old engine on or keep it for spares :)

i will do as you say odessey, the engine comes stripped of all the ancillaries so i wasn't sure which ones should be renewed while i've got the chance, the timing belt was the only one i knew for certain.
