I seen something about a mod on a car but carnt find it

I read something the other day where this guy changed  two pipes around on his engine I think it was a soloneid to give the driver more of a kick in the back when taking off rather than a smooth power delivery.Does anyone no anything about it?The boost wasn't increased in anyway

I believe you are talking about replacing forester complicated imtercooler valve for a impreza one and rerouting pipes. Thats what I myself read about.
