2015 Forester 2.0 XE Creaking Rear Windows.
The rear windows of my Forester creak quite loudly when they are closed, which is rather annoying. If I open them about 5-10mm, the noise stops. I thought that lubricating the window channels with WD40 might help but it doesn't. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone suggest what I can do to stop the creaking? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Keith.

Starlink infotainment system.
Thanks. I realised after I had done it I was in the wrong forum but couldn't find a way to remove it. I also put it on the Forester forum so here's hoping. FYI for anyone reading this, Subaru UK have told me they have just released an update to the infotainment system which is now available free from the local Subaru dealer.

Starlink infotainment system.
I have a 2015 Forester 2.0 XE Premium which I took delivery of last November and am still trying to get to grips with the infotainment system! The traffic announcement (TA) option is turned on for both DAB and FM radio. On DAB I have never yet received a traffic announcement since I got the car, no pop-up panel and no announcement. On FM, the pop-up panel is actually displayed. According to the manual, I am supposed to tap 'continue' to get the announcement and then adjust the volume level to where I want it and the level will be saved. I did this and when the next announcement arrived, tapped 'continue' and got nothing - silence until I operated the volume control on the steering wheel. This has been the case for all announcements so far and is kind of distracting having to do this while driving. Has anybody managed to hear the announcements without having to turn the volume up every time? Has anybody managed to get a traffic announcement at all on DAB? If you have, please let me know how you did it. I would be very grateful to learn how it is done. Thanks in advance.

Forester Built-in SatNav Update Disc
Thanks everyone. I will investigate. There are a few items on ebay, all as old or even older than mine, but I will keep my eye on it. Hopefully something will turn up eventually!

Forester Built-in SatNav Update Disc
I have just been quoted a very silly price by my local Subaru dealer for an updated disc for my 2008 Forester's built-in satnav I have the 2006 disc at the moment. Does anybody know if there is another way of getting an up to date disc at a more sensible price, please? Thanks!

Alarm System
Thanks for the info and the link. Miggs, I printed off the docs and the answer I was looking for is there. The car has a keypad in the coin tray between the steering wheel and the driver's door. Now I can go and play! ;)

Alarm System
Thanks. It's the factory fitted alarm, I'm afraid.

Alarm System
I am trying to find out how to stop the alarm sounding when I lock the car and leave the windows open slightly to reduce the heat inside in the hot weather. The owner's manual doesn't seem to mention it at all. Can anyone help, please? Thanks, Keith.
