  1. Does anyone have the correct wiring diagrams for the 06/07 UK Impreza with the 4 plug ECU. I have 2000 - 2007 but it's the US model. And some parts are different.
  2. Ok, I have resolved the issue somewhat. The alternator was an aftermarket forgot the brand. It works fine as does the original OEM. The issue is the ECU command signal shows 2.5v no matter the load. I did a continuity test and was find. I also loaded tested every wire very low 10 - 50 mvs. I removed the blue command wire from plug and the alternator started working as expected around 13.8v - 14.4v. Does anyone know what voltage the blue wire should give out? I have decided to make a mod and remove the DTC in the map for this file and monitor the Battery voltage myself.
  3. Having a weird problem Car started check engine light p2503 low alternator voltage. Did loads of test pointed to alternator that's before I knew it was ECU controlled one. New alternator same issue All earths, ect are good. My ECU is not detecting load. How can I fool this ? Does anyone have a 2006/07 WRX wiring diagram all mine are for US version and don't have a 4 block ECU. Does cutting the blue wire just allow the alternator to run constantly.
  4. Car: 2007 2.5 WRX Hawkeye Bought the car steering seemed fine had(maybe smoke and mirrors of a new car) however, slow leaking drive shaft seals from the moment I got it home. So I thought for the sake of the price, I would replace them rather than the 300mile round trip. Fixed the leak steering was off a little 100% sure it was alignment even though I marked the camber bolts. So had the car aligned but speeds about 20mph and above it goes straight no pulling. When going real slow seems like there is slack in the rack and the steering wheel could be at 3 o'clock and the wheels slightly to the right (only seem to happen on the right side) when I speed up and correct it sits perfect again. Any ideas ? Rebuild rack ? Replace ? Maybe check the tie rod ends again?
  5. It was confused about the filter however, it seems although it's an option according to parts catalogs I don't need one. But under the rear seat I didn't see the fuel connections ( I need a manual) Yes the green stuff was the wax from factory. I cleaned most of it and upgrading to silicone hoses due to the rubber being very soft and feeling worn. As for rust, I have shelled out on some paint and treat ment and slow time going to work my way around the car( chasing my tail maybe lol) I will be changing oil every 5k miles. I don't hammer it much and using good grade oil. I see the oil filter has changed to a small one? Any upgrades on a longer filter? The engine runs sweet using FreeSSM to check for errors and look/record data, so I have a bench mark when something goes wrong.
  6. I have recently purchased a WRX 2.5T UK version 230bhp. I have some questions about the car I am trying to revert the mods the previous owner done. 1. The stock recirculation valve or waste gate was replaced with a cheap **** Dump Valve venting to atmosphere. 2. It seems the fuel filter has been removed see images. or is this just intank filter ?. Is there any pros/cons to adding/removing the filter ? 3. The engine was very dirty and looks like very dried coolant on/under the intake manifold. 4. Will these mods make the fuel economy so poor? I would see the dump valve will make it run rich ?I must be on around 12/15 mpg. 5. The brake booster rusting is this common and maybe some caliper paint would be a good idea? 6. What tips can anyone offer for longevity of these cars.
