Legacy ride quality
I was thinking about the wind deflectors too was coming on to post about them :) I've also seen people do a homemade wind deflector around the wing mirror, I'm sure it was because they hadn't sound proofed behind the plastic triangle part. From memory people was getting rubber tubing cutting it down one side and attaching it on the wing mirror. But I might be thinking of the forester, but if it is the same thing might do the trick. And I thought the newer ones have the frames all around the windows on these. I've always upgraded my speakers in cars anyway. apart from an st170 I had for some reason even with an amp it sounded great. And they hadn't been upgraded just stock :)

Sorry to hear you might get be selling up. I don't think 34mpg is to bad. And looking how good the car looks I would struggle to sell it other than going for another one :D

Legacy ride quality
I've not really been in one that new so I really couldn't say. Most subarus have had the problem with wind noise to do with the wing mirrors but again I thought that was with the older models. But I'm all for upgrades :)

If the pistons are in good shape you should be able to just pull them in by hand. But know I've had to pull them in with a long bar before :)

I'm not a fanboy of either have own every console going to date right back to the atari 2600 But should get on with Forza with us in the league somone needs to beat Nick ;)

We're doing the 360 forza 4 at the minute mate :D Get yourself on it good laugh. Top Gear lap times and more you will have to take a look but good laugh. And I'm sure I will have a Ps4 at some point but the pull of Forza was too great :D

A bit of an incident with a hedge
Least you know it was built to last ;) Reminds me of a austin maestro I crashed in to the river Humber bank it was only good for scrap after that. And yes I was showing off rallying it on a gravel track I can still see the tape cassettes flying around in the air now ;) I take it you was unhurt then, did make me chuckle the wing mirror And on the plus side at least you have given yourself some stuff to do over the Christmas time ;)

Outback. Immobiliser/fob problem.
I have heard about this happening before we had a member who was stuck in a field because of overhead power lines do the same thing. But his was a classic shape impreza so would have thought it would have been with an older car's, guess not. I remember a few years back I came out of asda's and I see this guy kicking the crap out of his car Peugeot I think it was. With his Missus crying and a newborn baby and a trolley full of shopping. I went over to see if I could help I couldn't get the dam thing started, I got them laughing eventually they was going to get a taxi but said stuff that it was too cold it was about this time of year so I took them the other side of town to drop them off with the shopping. I'm such a nice guy like that :) turns out the magnets that lock the trolleys from leaving the carpark had messed with his :( So I'm not sure if there is a way around stopping it or not.

A bit of an incident with a hedge
I was thinking about you today in a seedy sexual way ;) I was going to ask did you find out what the problem was with that noise ? But looks like you have been having fun and is now least of the problems. Can't believe no video footage this time :) And nice job with the aerial ;) Did it damage the hub at all or have you not had chance to check it over yet. ?

Changing Disks and Pads
If they have the same sort of set up as the impreza very easy mate. I actually enjoy doing them. Only problems I know of is sticky pistons in the caliper can give headaches. But they might have changed on the newer cars.
