Hi,
Thought I'd post this on the general forum, to get the widest spread of expertise.
A few months ago (August 23) the clutch on my Subaru XV went at about 83k miles. Which isn't great, but fairly par for the course. We took the car to Spain, where it failed again at around 88k miles. We got the car fixed in Spain at a Subaru garage in Granada. It took 2 months to get the parts and cost 2200 euros! The car was eventually shipped back to us by green flag. Now, a few hundred miles later, the clutch is slipping again. We can't return it to the garage to be checked out, because its in Spain!
What the **** can be causing this?!
There's clearly something fundametally wrong which is causing the clutches to fail which has been missed by two garages.
Thanks for any help. Recommendations of good subaru mechanics in the central belt of Scotland welcome.
