Standard and safe boost on 2000 Classic?
basically a slow and painfull process of checking all boost pipes has the inlet cracked? its the plastic pipe that runs under the inlet manifold, its prone to cracking as its old and perishable , pig to change

licensed ECU for impreza 99-00 model just been replaced with a better option, was mapped by andy forrest to include the following td04 @ 1.2/1.3 bar sti top mount decat / full exhaust air filter hit 260ish bhp on a rolling road £125.00 delivered- Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo advice

i drank 25 quids worth of Vpower in 30 miles tuesday night!- Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo advice
You can find them unabused but it's hard Running costs : regular oil change etc , expect 15-20 mpg fsults engine knocking , whiney gearboxes , rust- 3rd scooby but new member
Also in terms of power, Your standard td04 turbo is capable of about 280bhp.... i think this makes a very fast classic when boosting to about 1.2-1.4 bar Upgrades: VF28 £200 very good turbo VF35 £300 even better VF34 £400 even better- 3rd scooby but new member
wagon v5 owner here ! no difference in power between saloon or wagon, they share the same everything about from the rear seats and boot etc it has a slightly wider track and different rear shocks to accomodate the extra load it could carry over the saloon. I would get a full service done. You should be hitting 0.9 bar which should be about 220-221bhp model. Also open up the passenger footwell, some 10mm bolts and check what ecu you have. There are 4 options available on these. The sticker in the middle E3 etc is a start then the reference code should start with a A... The ones with a 800-01 at the end have a more aggressive map on that the others. Power gains: Ecu tek or Eculabs only options to keep the existing ecu - Eculabs is open source and better and has more toys, about 420-550 depending on what set up you have- Hi, I've just brought my first Subaru!
