  1. Sounds good mate! I love the hawkeyes, by far my favorite model year. I'm honestly itching for another highly built Subaru but have to wait till I get back. Where in Glos do you live? Any pics of your new beauty? In other news had a problem with the XT today, had an oil change done and noticed oil dripping from the timing belt cover. It looks as if the pcv valve froze again when I went to Brandon last week (3 1/2 hour drive). The cam seals are all pushed out from the pressure in the heads building up and being unable to escape. We will be getting them all replaced again under warranty (4th time). Sadly the weather has been switching between -2c to -45c within a few days and adding a long stint on the highway, you have moisture that just sticks the valve shut. Pretty annoyed but should be fixed by Monday. One nice thing is il get the timing belt covered under warranty again and will pay for a new tensioner so it's not an added cost for me in a few months before we sell it. Frown upside down.
  2. Here's a quick dyno pull of the wrx showing how broad the powerband was.... and more whoring haha
  3. I really like the ACT clutches, great pedal feel and not over sensitive on the bite. I would choose them again on my next car. I totally agree on the cheap knock off parts, sadly there are a few companies out there who do sell such items but I avoid them like the plague. It's not worth saving a few hundred dollars / pounds to have your tolerances all out and risk losing an engine. Again spread the word and if people need anything il be sure to do the best pricing I can, just sold another set of these gorgeous cosmis forged wheels yesterday, 12 STI in WRB, it's going to look phenomenal....
  4. My other interest.... Just in case anyone else makes it to the range :)
  5. I've had so many people ask me about that actually, it's just a simple piece of black vinyl cut carefully
  6. Here's another shot with a friends 12 Evo X. We installed an AMS STX400 kit into the Evo and wow is it a different animal now, running 25 psi the boost response is alarming. However it's still just slower than the STI :) No thread is good without sufficient picture whoring....
  7. Toms car is in winter mode at the moment, in summer it's considerably lower and clean! Haha
  8. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas, here's a quick shot of the sti quad pipe retrofit onto the XT... A sweet Christmas present from my brother... and the Foz with my brothers 400hp MPS modified 09 sti
  9. Il be sure to share :) Also thought I would share a few pics from my wrx engine She used to wear orange shoes
  10. They are becoming more common here, I've been lucky enough to drive a couple of them now and the handling is more incredible than I imagined. They only lack hp and with this turbo kit running 8psi it takes the car up to a respectable 280hp. We are also waiting on the rest of his brake parts to arrive to convert the car to 04 sti brembos. The calipers he purchased used are in good shape but are being rebuilt and powder coated yellow. The car is gunmetal so thinking a Porsche colour scheme will look good. We already lowered the car this summer but now he has a full lip / lower valance kit and brand new wheels to go on too. It should be a totally different beast come the new season, pretty excited to be building it. Maybe il start up a new thread with full install pics for you guys.
  11. Haha! They stock wrx suspension from sitting too low with the additional weight of the forester back end. Without them it looks like you're packed for a weekend away all the time! I ran a Blouch Dom3 xtr before switching to a GTX35r and wow it was a gorgeous turbo. So well constructed and it sounded incredible. If anyone has parts enquiries please let me know. I actually just ordered up a full turbo kit for a friends BRZ yesterday which we will be installing in the coming weeks. Il be sure to post a few pictures
  12. I actually got a few insurance quotes for a legacy spec b and to be honest it wasnt as bad as i expected, 800 quid fully comp even with my canadian licence. Ive got to find a car now!
  13. It's criminal. Insurance here is so cheap, fuel is $1.40 a litre for premium. It's one of the huge concerns I have coming home and still being able to enjoy the brand as I do now. My brother has a 400hp 09 STI and even he will find it hard!
  14. Haha, well my brother will still be living in Canada too so il have someone on the ground if need be. I'm curious to see how the scene has progressed since I was younger and what styles are coming through, the US has a pretty huge "stance" following right now.
  15. I can completely understand that, the US companies on the whole are starting to see the potential of the UK. If there is anything in particular you want let me know and I can make the appropriate enquiries. Il evebtually get a website up and going but just putting some feelers out there.
