  1. Another Gen 6 OB owner here. I drove the current Forester at launch. Nice car but as Justin Time says it did feel relatively sluggish. My suggestion would be to try a 2-3 year old Gen 6 OB (mine is 2 years old) alongside a similar age Forester and compare the two and see how you feel. Not sure where OB sits against Forester in terms of price at that age but I doubt there would be too much difference. interested to hear how you get on - particularly because I’m thinking about a next gen Forester this time next year when I will be considering changing my OB.
  2. On a similar theme, I was in my local Subaru dealer this morning and saw a new sign encouraging me to update my details on the Subaru website so I would always receive special offers, latest news etc. I scanned the QR code on the sign only to find it sent me to the same “Sorry - page no longer exists”……..
  3. Thanks. I saw this announcement too, and came to the same conclusion about the car that you did. Can’t really see enough in it to persuade me to change from my current model. Perhaps the new Forester will be a bit more exciting.
  4. Can’t answer your question I’m afraid as I didn’t pursue buying a Solterra. Not because of any issue with car, but rather the difficulties I would have charging at home (following some research the length and routing from my electricity supply to charger was extremely problematic). Is 201 miles your average on full charge?
  5. I had the 2.0 Diesel Lineartronic for 4 years around 50,000 miles from new with no problems whatsoever. I tried a couple of other brands then moved back to a Gen 6 2.5 Petrol. I’ve had that for nearly 18 months again with no issues whatsoever. I wouldn’t describe either as a particularly exciting drive, but I have never worried about reliability or traction on or (very occasionally) off road. If I was buying used the key for me would be a full service history, good condition and I would buy from a Subaru dealer who ideally knew the car from new. Hope this helps. Whereabouts are you looking (which dealer) if you don’t mind me asking?
  6. Would this be the 2.0 Diesel engine with CVT (Lineartronic)?
  7. I am thinking about changing from an Outback to a Solterra. I am really interested in owner's thoughts and real life experience of the Solterra, ideally including range in colder weather. Many thanks.
  8. Or maybe have a look at part no. TDG1661 Travall® Guard This product fits the following vehicles : Subaru Outback BT 2019 -> £160.00 on the Travall website.
  9. Have a look at Justin Time’s post on the Accessories thread about six threads below this.
  10. Morning everyone, I wondered if there were other UK Gen 6 Owners on the forum? I have one on order for collection in November and would be happy to share my ownership experience over the next months and years. I owned a lineartronic diesel Outback 2013 - 2017 but this time it will be a 2.5 petrol Touring.
  11. This is a US video but may be of use as a general indication of the types of accessories available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLygtzz_z3I
